Cyclops are very small crustacea. Theirs shape reminds me about a triop. They are very common and can be collected in any natural or artificial pond where fishes are not present. I found up to now at least 4 different species which differ in color and dimension. From very small transparent ones that can be observed with a microscope only, to big green ones, 2 mm long which can be appreciated even naked eye. The famale can be recognized thanks to the egg sacks.
